HANS BRINKER OR THE SILVER SKATES by Mary Mapes Dodge. Illustrations by Clara Burd. 1925. John Winston Company. Hardcover w/Pictorial Pastedown. A lovely edition of this late 19th century classic. This version is illustrated by Clara Burd and her work is evident on the frontispiece, the illustrated endpapers and numerous illustrations throughout the book. It is not ex-library nor does it show any written signs of previous ownership. Copyright page states 1925 by John C. Winston. In very good condition with minimal signs of wear. The interior pages are completely clean and unmarked. The green boards show some fading to the spine. Front paste down is complete and shows minimal if any wear. Corners are bumped and show scuffing. Book is quite square and binding is secure. Simply charming!
